How to grow snake bean seedlings? Tips on how to grow snake bean seedlings

Snake bean is one of the most popular economic crops in recent years. This plant is also called snake melon. Its young fruit is edible, and there are many ways to eat it. It can be fried or made into soup. With the increase in sales, more and more people want to grow snake beans, but when planting, the success rate of seedlings is very low, which also makes people particularly worried. How to protect the seedlings if they are scared by snakes?

How to grow snake bean seedlings

1. Time for snake bean seedling cultivation

The timing of snake bean seedling cultivation is very important. It is usually in mid-April every spring. The outside temperature is still relatively low at this time, so the seedlings need to be grown in a solar greenhouse or in a shed. If no insulation measures are taken, it will be difficult to succeed in seedling cultivation.

2. Seed treatment during snake bean seedling cultivation

The seeds of snake bean are a kind of woody species, which are difficult to germinate. Before sowing and raising seedlings, the seeds must be processed as necessary. The best way is to soak the seeds in water for six to eight hours, then rub them with your hands, pierce the navel of the seeds, and then soak them for another sixteen hours.

3. Germination is required before raising snake beans

After soaking the seeds, take them out and wrap them in a wet cloth, then place them in an environment with a temperature of 25 to 28 degrees for germination. During the germination process, they should be frequently turned over and rinsed with clean water every four to six hours. After three to four days, the seeds will turn white, and you can take them out and sow them.

4. Seedling cultivation of snake beans

After the snake bean seeds germinate, they can be sown in the soil. When sowing, sprinkle enough fertilizer in the soil, preferably biological fertilizer, put the sprouts and seeds in, then cover with soil, and water them enough. After five to seven days, the seedlings will grow out. After the seedlings grow for about ten days, they can be planted or transplanted.
