Colorful Winter Melon Soup Method/Steps

Dice onion and set aside.

Dice the winter bamboo shoots and blanch them in boiling water for 3-5 minutes, remove them, rinse them with cold water, and drain them. (Figure 11

Colorful Winter Melon Soup Notes

After finding the mold, you need to look for a winter melon of the right size, and slice it to the same thickness as the mold.

Hollow out the inner wall of the winter melon. You can use a small spoon or the handle of the spoon. Don't hollow out the entire winter melon, leave a little at the bottom, otherwise the vegetables will fall out.

​Winter bamboo shoots should be blanched in water in advance to remove their sour taste.

When frying, put the mushrooms first, fry them until cooked, and then put the bell peppers last, otherwise the bell peppers will easily change color.

Winter melon is easy to ripen, but it is not easy to steam it for too long, as it will change color and become ugly if steamed for too long.
