Ingredients for pickled fish

When you make your own cured fish, you need to prepare 1 to 2 fresh grass carps, an appropriate amount of table salt, strong liquor, and dark soy sauce, as well as an appropriate amount of chili powder and Sichuan pepper powder.

Steps for marinating fish

1. Clean the prepared fresh grass carp, remove the scales and internal organs, then remove the fish head. At the same time, remove the black film in the belly of the fish, and then cut the fish body into two pieces in the middle.

2. Mix the prepared pepper powder and chili powder together, then add table salt and mix well. Then apply it evenly on the surface of the fish. Rub it vigorously for a while, then apply a layer of light soy sauce to color it. After it is done, put it in a bowl and marinate for about two days, turning it over several times in the middle.

3. After the fish is marinated, take it out and drain the water. Then hang it with a rope and place it in the sun. After two or three days, move it to a cool place and hang it to dry. It will be done in about seven to ten days. At this time, the cured fish can be stored directly. When you want to eat it, wash it with clean water, cut it into pieces, and cook it according to your needs.
