Prevention and treatment methods of white pimples on oyster mushroom

Prevention and treatment methods of white pimples on oyster mushroom

Oyster mushroom is a very nutritious vegetable, but it also encounters various diseases during the planting process. Here are some methods to prevent and treat white bumps on oyster mushroom:

1. Time of occurrence of white pimples on Oyster mushroom

Most of the diseases occur after the first crop of mushrooms are harvested, and a few occur after the second or third crop of mushrooms.

2. Symptoms of white pimples on Oyster mushroom

When the disease first occurs, a small number of white spots grow on the surface of the mushroom culture medium, which are tumor-like and look like undifferentiated primordia of the mushroom fruiting body. They gradually grow and become one piece, and turn brown in the later stage. The disease is highly contagious, and once it occurs, the mushrooms cannot be produced normally.

3. Prevention and control measures for white bumps on Oyster mushroom

(I) Replace varieties to enhance disease resistance. Practice has shown that repeated planting of the same variety in the same area will result in a high incidence of disease. It is best to replace the variety with a new one every year, especially to select varieties with strong disease resistance.

(ii) Correct discharge to prevent mushroom burning. In recent years, most of the mushroom production has been done by wall-type three-dimensional soil covering. This method is easy to manage, has high yields, and is convenient for water replenishment. However, its disadvantage is that it is not easy to dissipate heat and is easy to burn mushrooms. Because the soil itself also carries pathogens, the disease is very likely to occur. It is best to adopt the method of not covering the soil, single-row discharge, and mushroom production at both ends. The layers should be separated by small bamboo poles or sorghum stalks, and a certain gap should be left between the bags to facilitate cooling. Single discharge can also achieve high yields as long as water is replenished in time and management is strengthened. If soil covering is adopted for mushroom production, the following matters should be noted: First, strictly sterilize the soil and fumigate the soil with formaldehyde; second, cover with wet soil, not mud, because mud is easy to compact and has poor air permeability, and cannot meet the oxygen required for the growth of mushrooms, and the waste gas is not easy to be discharged in time; third, the water replenishment in the water tank should be appropriate. Excessive water replenishment will cause excessive water content in the culture medium, resulting in hypoxia of the mycelium, thin and weak mycelium, poor disease resistance, and easy occurrence of diseases.

(III) Comprehensive prevention and control to eliminate the source of bacteria. During the mushrooming period, spray caustic soda water once every 10 days, which can not only effectively sterilize, but also remove the acidic substances in the mushroom house, so that the mycelium grows thick and strong with strong disease resistance. Before fruiting, spray the space and walls of the mushroom house with 1000×10E-6 of carbendazim, and spray once for each batch of mushrooms. During the fruiting period, the mushroom house must be kept clean, and the mushroom feet must be cleaned in time to eliminate hidden dangers. The waste after the mushrooms are fruited must be removed in time and kept away from the mushroom house. The mushroom house should be disinfected and sterilized in time, and caustic soda, lime water spraying, sulfur ignition fumigation and other methods can be used. If conditions permit, it can also be sterilized by burning to create excellent conditions for the next cultivation. As long as the measures are reasonable, the occurrence of this disease can be completely avoided.
