Driven by curiosity, I began to observe Xiaoli's porridge making process. I saw her wash the japonica rice first and soak it in clean water. The red dates should also be soaked in warm water and the washed chrysanthemums should be drained.

Then, Xiaoli put water in the pot, put the rice and red dates in, boiled it over high heat, then changed to low heat and let it cook slowly while we chatted. After about half an hour, Xiaoli opened the lid and found that the porridge was almost cooked, so she put the chrysanthemum petals in, added some rock sugar, and cooked it for a while. Xiaoli served me a bowl, and I couldn't wait to taste it. I found that this porridge was thick, sweet and fragrant, and it was especially delicious.
