Shrimp and Asparagus Porridge

Shrimp and Asparagus Porridge

I caught a cold last weekend, but my enthusiasm for cooking unexpectedly soared on Saturday, as if I had taken stimulants. I made brunch as soon as I got up, and in the afternoon, when everyone went to take a nap, I was still in the kitchen making snacks. One portion was not enough, so I made three in a row. The necessary tools were placed on the kitchen counter, and a pile of paper balls for wiping runny noses were thrown in the trash can on the floor. My husband said that the sicker I was, the more energetic I was. Haha, I even fried steak for them in the evening.

By Sunday, I was completely exhausted. I felt that all my energy had been overdrawn the day before. I lay in bed all day and had no appetite. I didn’t even have lunch. After sleeping enough in the afternoon, I went downstairs to find something to eat. I still had no appetite and just wanted to drink some porridge. But even washing rice and making porridge was troublesome. I found a bowl of leftover rice from the refrigerator, added shrimp and asparagus, and it was done in ten minutes. The porridge tasted delicious and refreshing. I finished a big bowl of it while it was hot. Then I went upstairs to sleep. When I woke up yesterday, my cold was completely healed!

How to make shrimp and asparagus porridge

1 bowl of leftover rice, 6 asparagus, 10 shrimps, some broth, salt

practice:

1. Wash the shrimp, remove the shell and shrimp thread, marinate with salt and pepper for 5 minutes, wash the asparagus, remove the old roots and cut into small pieces.

2. Add the leftover rice to the broth (I used bone broth) and put it into the pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and cook for about ten minutes.

3. When the porridge becomes thick, add shrimp and asparagus and bring to a boil. Add salt to taste.

Combine fresh ingredients together, cook them simply, and finally present the natural colors in front of you, the authentic taste in your mouth, and the rich nourishment that enters your body~
