The efficacy and function of Artemisia

1. Artemisia annua is good for the gallbladder and relieves jaundice

Research experiments have shown that our Artemisia capillaris chromone, Artemisia capillaris flavonoids and other choleretic ingredients can significantly enhance the bile flow in patients with cholelithiasis, reduce the cholesterol content in bile, and prevent the formation of cholesterol stones.

2. Artemisia has liver protection effect

Experimental studies have shown that our Artemisia decoction has a protective effect on experimental liver damage caused by CCl4 in animals, can reduce serum transaminase activity, and alleviate hepatocyte swelling, ballooning, fatty degeneration and necrosis. This is due to the elements such as Artemisia capillaris chromone, 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin, and Artemisia capillaris flavonoids in it.

3. Artemisia has the effect of lowering blood lipids in clinical practice

Experimental studies have shown that Artemisia capillaris in white wormwood can reduce serum cholesterol and tail-lipoprotein in animals with hyperlipidemia, significantly reduce the cholesterol content in the aortic wall, and alleviate atherosclerotic plaque lesions in the arterial wall.

4. Artemisia has significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects

The anti-inflammatory Artemisia capillaris has a significant antipyretic effect on the fever caused by typhoid mixed vaccine in rabbits. The 6,7-dimethylesculin in Artemisia capillaris has a certain degree of analgesic effect on the pain models of mice induced by the hot plate method and acetic acid writhing method, and has an inhibitory effect on the swelling of the metatarsal joints of rats caused by carrageenan.
