Are you interested in the cultivation technology of tangerine? If you are interested, please read the following introduction. Cultivation techniques of tangerineThe shaping and pruning of tangerine trees is very important, the purpose of which is to cultivate a good crown structure, enhance tree vigor, and achieve early fruiting, high yield, stable yield, and longevity. Especially for fruit-bearing trees, it is important to pay attention to moderate pruning after harvesting. 1. Shaping of young trees This work actually begins when the nursery is pruning the grafted seedlings. The main trunk height of the seedlings is required to be about 26 cm. Leave 3-4 evenly distributed, 15-23 cm long, and strong branches as the first-level main branches. Leave the mid-autumn branches on the first-level main branches as the second-level main branches. After planting, in order to timely control and select branches and buds and reduce nutrient consumption, it is necessary to strengthen bud removal and pinching according to the characteristics of citrus with multiple buds, so that the branches are evenly distributed and of moderate length. The principle of bud removal is "remove the zero and keep the whole, remove the early and keep the neat". Young branches can be put in spring, summer, autumn, late summer or late autumn shoots 3-4 times a year, and the flower buds are removed. The lower part of the citrus crown and the inner branches have strong fruiting ability. When cultivating and expanding the crown, the inner branches should be properly retained. If the summer and autumn shoots that need to be retained grow too vigorously, they should be appropriately pinched to inhibit their nutritional growth, so that the branches develop evenly, and achieve balanced growth of nutritional branches and fruiting branches and ideal yields in the third year. In addition, since young trees generally have small branching angles and dense and upright branches, it is not conducive to forming a high-yield crown. Therefore, it is necessary to use wire shaping to make the main branches and trunks open at an angle of 45-50 degrees. The key to growing tangerines is pruning fruit-bearing trees1. The pruning of young fruit-bearing trees mainly adopts the method of "erasing summer shoots, cultivating autumn shoots, inhibiting winter shoots, and transforming long branches" to balance the relationship between vegetative growth and reproductive growth. After the summer shoots are drawn out, they can be removed when they grow to 2-3 cm. It is done every 34 days until a few days before and after the beginning of autumn to the end of summer, and the time of removing the shoots is determined according to the strength of the tree and the amount of fruit. For trees with many fruits and weak tree vigor, the shoots can be released earlier, while for trees with few fruits and strong tree vigor, the shoots can be released later. For old fruit-bearing trees, the shoots can be released in advance around the Great Heat. The winter shoots that have already sprouted can be cut off with the base after December, or cut off from the base when they bloom next spring. The long branches that grow on the main trunk or main branches should be removed in time. However, if the crown is vacant, the long branches that grow on the inner branches of the crown or the main branches can be pinched or shortened to promote the sprouting of new branches to fill the vacant space. 2. Pruning of fruit-bearing trees in the peak fruit-bearing period When citrus enters the peak fruit-bearing period, the vegetative growth and reproductive growth reach a relative balance. At this time, thinning or short pruning should be carried out according to the characteristics of this period to enhance the ventilation and light transmission of the crown, renew the aging branches, increase the inner branches, achieve three-dimensional fruiting, and extend the fruiting period. Generally, summer pruning and winter pruning are carried out. Summer pruning: mainly to prune off branches with fallen flowers and fruits and other useless branches, to promote the emergence of strong late summer shoots or autumn shoots as future fruiting mother branches. Summer pruning is generally carried out 15-20 days before the release of autumn shoots, mainly for thinning and combined with short pruning. Branch stumps with a diameter of 0.5-1 cm on the outer periphery of the middle and upper part of the crown can be thinned out to promote the emergence of autumn shoots; cross-shaded branches without fruits between plants can be thinned out. Trees that have just started production should not be pruned in summer. Winter pruning: It is carried out 15-20 days after fruit picking and before spring shoots emerge. Prune the densely growing cross branches, dead branches, diseased and insect-infested branches, broom branches, as well as the fruiting branches and declining branches on the periphery of the middle and upper part of the crown, leaving 6-10 cm branch stumps to promote the emergence of new shoots. The thickness of the cut is 0.8-1.2 cm. For some weak fruiting branches and fruiting mother branches, "one fruit two prunings" can be implemented in early harvesting, and the weak branches can be cut off from the base to reduce the number of ineffective branches. |
