Planting succulents is popular now . The planting method of succulents is simple, and the later management and maintenance are not complicated, so many people like to plant succulents . So as a beginner, what steps should you pay attention to in the process of planting succulents ? Here we will introduce to you the basic soil cultivation method of succulent planting knowledge.

Succulent plant planting knowledge: primary soil preparation method

Many beginners of succulents asked me what soil is best. In fact, there are so many planting materials that beginners are really confused. Next, I will introduce a kind of planting material that is almost everywhere. This soil preparation method is most suitable for beginners and is not easy to kill plants.

Now all parts of the country are engaged in real estate, and the sand on the construction site is everywhere. Ordinary river sand is everywhere. Flower lovers can get a lot of it with a little attention, enough to grow some succulents. The sand on the construction site is yellow sand, which contains a lot of soil. It should be washed with water, floated to remove impurities, and dried. There are no bacteria in the river sand after washing and exposure to the sun. At this time, you should use a plastic basket to sieve and separate large and small ones. Generally, the river sand to be used is 1 to 5 mm. This specification of plastic basket is sold in supermarkets, 2 to 3 yuan per basket. Buy a large hole and a small hole. It is available in major supermarkets and grocery stores. You can keep some of the ones that are too fine after passing through the sieve, and don’t use the ones that are too large. Generally, I will keep some slightly larger ones to spread on the top of the pot, which is more beautiful.

After the river sand is sifted, if there is peat, mix some peat in it. The ratio is: river sand 7: peat 3. This ratio can basically meet the needs of succulents for one year, and no other nutrients need to be added. If there is no peat lover, pure sand can also be used. This peat-containing planting material can be used as the middle layer of soil for succulents, that is, the roots are buried in this mixed planting material. At this time, the plants should be crooked. I basically use the sieved large river sand to support the entire plant. The advantage of this is that the plants that have just been potted have not grown their roots yet. After watering, the water will not stay for too long. Because the roots are in the mixed peat planting material, some water will be retained. This water is just enough for the plants to grow new roots. Generally, water once and wait for the plants to take root.

Don't water them all the time. Although river sand is very breathable, it's not easy to dry out if you water them all the time. Beginners must remember this, so that your flowers won't suffer any loss. Summer is coming, so be sure to pay attention to shading. Many beginners asked me, "Why do they still die even though I expose them to the sun in the morning?" Because they shouldn't be exposed to the sun before new roots grow, and now it's summer, the sun in the morning should be above 30 degrees, so don't expose them to the sun before the plants have good roots.

I believe even a novice can grow the plants well with this kind of breeding and soil preparation.
