Peanut Tongcao Congee

Peanut Tongcao Congee

Have you ever had peanut and tongcao porridge? Let's learn it together. I hope you like it.

Peanut Tongcao Congee

Recipe: 50g peanuts, 8g Tongcao, 14g Vaccaria, 10g roasted pangolin, 50g rice

Preparation method: First boil water with tongcao, fenugreek, and roasted pangolin, remove the residue and keep the juice. Then mash the peanuts and cook them into porridge with rice and the juice. After the porridge is thick, add appropriate amount of brown sugar and eat.

Note that you should consume it when you can eat after giving birth. At first, my mother thought that she should consume it when she had no milk, but she missed the best period for consumption. When she drank it, I was almost 100 days pregnant, but my milk increased significantly during the period. One of my mother's friends only drank porridge made from Tongcao after giving birth, and her milk increased a lot. That auntie didn't dare to drink water because her milk would increase if she drank water (this was her mother's folk remedy when she gave birth to her). Tongcao is the 4-5 cm long white stick

Introduction to Peanut Tongcao Congee

This prescription is from Tong Ren Tang Pharmacy. My mother has checked that Tongcao, Wangbuliuxing and Paoshanjia all have the effect of promoting lactation. The formula and method are simple, and the raw materials are also easy to buy in the pharmacy. New mothers can try it.

Peanuts, also known as groundnuts, are annual herbs belonging to the genus Arachis of the Fabaceae family. They are native to South America. There are more than 100 countries in the world that cultivate peanuts, with Asia being the most common, followed by Africa. According to Chinese literature on peanuts, the history of peanut cultivation is about 100 years earlier than that of Europe. Peanuts are known as "vegetable meat" because they contain up to 50% oil, are of excellent quality, and have a fragrant smell. In addition to being eaten, they are also used in the printing and dyeing and papermaking industries. Peanuts are also a traditional Chinese medicine, suitable for malnutrition, spleen and stomach disorders, coughs, phlegm, and lack of milk. The cultivation and management of peanuts is also relatively technical.
