Usage: Eat raw, decoct in soup or burn and preserve in powder form.

However, it is not suitable for people with spleen and stomach deficiency, phlegm and dampness. For cough: burn persimmon cake to ash, make honey pills, and boil in boiling water; for hot stranguria: divide persimmon cake and rush into equal parts, decoct in water and drink daily; for hematuria: burn persimmon cake to ash, grind into powder, and take with rice drink. The peeled persimmon skin tastes sweet and astringent, and is cold in nature. It has the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying. It is mainly used to treat furuncle and nameless swelling. Usage: apply fresh product.

When eating persimmons, collect the persimmon pedicles, wash them, and dry them. They can also be used as medicine. It tastes bitter and has a neutral nature. It has the effect of lowering adverse qi and treating hiccups. Usage: 9-15 grams of decoction; or make into pills or powders.

To treat hiccups: burn persimmon calyx to ashes, grind into powder, mix with rice wine, or mix with ginger juice and sugar in equal parts, stew and drink slowly.

After the frost falls, persimmon leaves are harvested, dried, cut into small pieces and stored for later use. They are bitter and cold in nature, and have the effects of relieving cough and asthma, promoting body fluid and relieving thirst, and promoting blood circulation and stopping bleeding. They are mainly used to treat cough and asthma, thirst, various bleeding, and ecthyma. Usage: 5-10 grams of decoction for oral administration or grind into powder for external application.

For treating various types of bleeding: Grind dried persimmon leaves into fine powder and take orally, 5 to 10 grams each time, 3 times a day; for treating hypertension: Take 10 grams of persimmon leaves as tea made with boiled water frequently every day, which can soften blood vessels, enhance blood vessel elasticity, and help lower blood pressure.

It should be noted that persimmons should be eaten after meals. Eating persimmons on an empty stomach can easily lead to gastric persimmon stone disease. People with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold, phlegm and dampness, cough caused by external infection, spleen deficiency and diarrhea, malaria, postpartum, post-illness, hernia, sha pox and other symptoms should not eat persimmons. They should not be eaten with crabs, otherwise they will cause abdominal pain and diarrhea. Persimmons contain tannins, which are easy to combine with iron, thus hindering the body's absorption of iron in food, so anemia patients should eat less. People with chronic gastritis, delayed emptying, indigestion and other low gastric motility function should not eat persimmons after subtotal gastrectomy. Persimmons have a high sugar content, so they are not suitable for diabetics.
