How to grow pea sprouts

I plan to plant some peas in my garden next year because my husband and son like to eat peas very much. So how do I plant pea seedlings?

How to plant pea seedlings

A superior variety of pea sprouts, more tender than ordinary pea sprouts!

Pea seedlings are edible pea seedlings grown from specially selected pea seedlings. They are not only rich in nutrients (including protein, carotene, VB1, VB2, VC, calcium, phosphorus, iron and other mineral elements, among which the phosphorus content is higher than other vegetables), but also crisp and delicious. No fertilizer or pesticide is needed during the production process, and they are real green vegetables.

The seeds should be soaked in water at room temperature above 20℃. The production of pea seedlings can only be carried out under weak light. Too strong light will cause the seedlings to grow too vigorously and easily age.

Pea seedlings are relatively cold-resistant. During the cultivation period, shade, ventilation and temperature regulation can be used to control the growth temperature of the pea seedlings. The suitable growth temperature is 9 to 23 degrees Celsius.

When the pea seedlings grow to 6-8cm, they should be harvested in time. You can use scissors to cut them, starting from the roots.

Pea sprouts can be stir-fried or made into soup. They can be stir-fried or paired with meat dishes. They are delicious and suitable for people of all ages.

The specific operation of pea seedlings is as follows:

(1) Please select and remove seeds that are very small, damaged, moldy, and have impurities;

(2) Seed soaking: Place the cleaned seeds in a plastic basin or bucket, wash them several times with clean water, and then soak them for 6-12 hours. The amount of water should be 2-3 times the amount of seeds.

(3) After the seeds are soaked, drain the water from the seeds and place them on a seedling tray covered with moisturizing paper (rice paper is fine) in a well-ventilated and light-proof place. You can also cover the seedling tray with a lid to avoid light.

(4) Management: Spray the surface of the seeds with clean water 2-3 times a day, in the morning and evening;

(5) When the pea seedlings grow to 3-4 cm, the sunshade can be removed and the seeds can be exposed to appropriate light. They will quickly turn from golden yellow to green and will produce many green leaves.

(6) Harvest: Spray water 2-3 times a day as usual. The seedlings can be harvested on the tenth day after sowing. The seedlings are tender and have a fresh taste.

(7) Continue to manage the harvest and harvest 1-2 more times.

Note:

In the early stage, it is necessary to avoid light, which is conducive to the thick stems of seedlings; in the later stage, it is to expose to light to promote greening and leafing; it is necessary to harvest in time, the fiber content is low, and the taste is tender. During the entire cultivation process, ventilation should be strengthened, water should not accumulate, and water should be sprayed evenly; changing the direction of the seedling tray to see the light is conducive to the neatness of the seedlings.
